Very upset. Food had no favor and for 8.99 a pound of crawfish, 2.50 for 3 small as corns and 3 potatoes & 2.50 for a 16oz coke. I know its not season but you still have to put sum favor in your food. Sign said best crawfish in Houston, I know that false.

Terrible food. Dirty and just not a nice atmosphere. There are many restaurants in Houston that are better.

Up until June 6, 2015, Woodrows (formerly Mardi Gras) was our go-to place when we wanted to treat ourselves over the last 10+ years. The food was just that good. Not anymore. On June 6th, we took 20 people for a combined birthday/graduation party. Several of us had been before and highly recommended it to the rest of our guests. The excitement quickly turned to shock when we learned that Don, the new "menu manager" had removed or changed all of our favorites and replaced them with inedible alternatives. The superb crab bisque was GONE. They couldn't let us taste the corn bisque replacement because they were getting ready to close for remodeling and weren't buying ingredients for certain menu items. The superb gumbo was GONE, replaced with an offering that was so spicy you couldn't discern any of the flavors--it just burned. The half oyster/shrimp platter was GONE. You could get one or the other, not both, NO SUBSTITUTIONS. We had a three year old--the children's menu is GONE. We spoke with several staff members who apologized and yes, they had shared with Don that he was removing many customer favorites, but the change was more important that continued customer satisfaction. They now have a "bread pudding du jour". I don't know about you, but the only variety of bread pudding is with raisins or without. What they were offering wasn't remotely what we considered bread pudding. So this 10-year+ customer will check back after remodeling to see if they've reinstated the menu items we've grown to love. If not, there are other restaurants who will accept our dollars. Woodrow's/Mardi Gras, RIP.
