Can the virtual teller make change for you? NO can they help you make a deposit? NO. well guess what BOA i will be taking my business to someone that have actual people working.

I recently received a small settlement check and have no bank account. After taking the bus with my elderly mom to the Walmart near by, and finding that Walmart's check system was down, I could either wait an hour for the bus to go back home or walk to the transit station to take a bus. As we were walking there I saw a bank of America bank which is where the check is drawn on, I was greatly relieved, however after going in and seeing it didn't look like much of a bank with no tellers. I asked if I could cash the check, they said it would be 8 dollars since i'm not a customer I said that was fine. After one of the emloyees contacted a teller online, I was told that I couldn't cash a check over 1700 dollars. my check was 2000 dollars. I ended up having to walk all the way back to get the bus so I could find another Walmart to try to cash my check but my mom ended up passing out and falling on the concrete after walking a mile to the transit station. needless to say I still haven't got my check cashed and have more problems now. What is so hard about cashing a check that is drawn on that bank?
