My husband randomly got a text about answering some questions in regards to covid-19 and how our family has been affected. He hands me the phone and I proceeded to answer. the gentleman Mike that was texting me was very rude and passing judgement. I told him we were getting unemployment and he said (in very similar words) "that we soaked up the 600 and then went in a frenzy when it was gone". I felt that to be very rude to say. I explained I had just been diagnosed with a brain tumor as covid-19 hit and that we are just now getting our second payment for unemployment. So NO we did not soak it up or scramble. I told him he was quite rude and judgemental and he said that was his job and that he didn't believe half of what was said. That he hears sob stories all the time and that he didn't ask for the health info. He's right he didn't ask but I felt offended and felt maybe an explanation would better inform. If you are going to do do txt or dry calling telemarketing then you need to have a better attitude and treat people pleasantly whether you believe them or not.
