    Theres only ELEVEN synchrony banks in the whole U.S.A. and every time i try to get their credit card for discount tire, they always deny me , after getting denied ill go apply somewhere else and get approved

    If you have an account with them, close it. If you dispute a charge & you're in the right, they will credit you back immediately & then in turn, rebill you for the disputed amount. No other credit card I have treats their customers like that. Your investigators need more training when looking into disputes. You never immediately credit the customer back & then rebill them back for said disputed charge. Shady.

    20 year PayPal customer here. Would give this bank ZERO stars if I could. Please do yourself a favor if you are using a line of credit through Synchrony and close your account. For PayPal customers- If you have a disputed charge (and this is per a Synchrony supervisor), when you call in, you will be randomly assigned to either PayPal or Synchrony reps. Customer service reps for PayPal answering these calls are not qualified to handle dispute charges, but will pretend to know what they are doing to assist you. 9 months after my initial dispute filing, and after speaking with about 15 different people between the two companies, I have now inadvertently paid off the disputed charge. 9 months, 3 attempts to reopen the dispute, and after becoming so angry I paid off the account and, little beknownst to me, the dispute charge + deferred interest AFTER a rep who spoke little English assured me the balance given did NOT include disputed charge because it was under review and therefore would not be included in current balance. He also refused to pass me along to a supervisor bc he was qualified to answer my questions. In fact, the disputed charge had never been filed the third time and he was wrong. SYNCHRONY HAS DESTROYED PAYPALS CREDIBILITY AND USES PREDATORY PRACTICES AGAINST CUSTOMERS.

    Worked with synchrony bank for 3 years under a discount tire account. Everything went well until recently their system charged a closed bank account of mine twice. Both instances were their mistake given this account has been closed for 2 years nor has been charged anytime prior to this. Due to the mischarging I was fined 2 late fees which after a long drawn out effort I recieved those charges back. However the next month I recieve a letter explaining that my account is closed due to two late payments (false). So I called them again and explained this to one of their managers, after which she told me there is nothing they can do to reopen the account, nor reimburse me for this issue alone with my huge hit on my credit. Would highly not recommend unless you want to be left high and dry for something that isn't even close to your fault. Highly recommend not using or supporting this spam of a company.
