We enjoyed our stay very much. The bed was very comfortable. We loved the rainshower head in our oversized shower. We loved having a refrigerator to put leftovers in there.

Our room at the Lodge Above Town Creek was cozy, well-decorated, quiet and comfortable. The room had a living area with a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave downstairs and a spacious king-sized bed and bath with an enormous jet spa upstairs. The setting is beautiful and conveniently located just off Main street. We plan to stay here each time we are in Fredericksburg.

It was so charming! The breakfast was also delicious, and being walking distance from Main Street was the cherry on top!

First off, I want to give a shout out to the staff for stepping up and resolving all the issues that came up. They single handedly saved our weekend. Our first room had a/c issues so we were “upgraded” to their sister property next door. This room was newer but did not have the quirky ambiance nor did it have a bathtub which is always a must for me. Fortunately or unfortunately depending on your perspective, this room also had a/c issues so we were moved again. Our final room did have a tub and a/c was working so we were all set. When I called to make our reservation I was asked if we had any dietary restrictions. I explained my husband is diabetic and would appreciate a low carb breakfast (eggs, meat, fruit). She assured me that they could accommodate us with no problem. Imagine my surprise the next morning to find juice and pancakes in our basket. I was told there were no notes on our reservation. Why ask for dietary restrictions and then not make note of them? I am not convinced that the rates charged for staying here are reasonable considering the lack of maintenance or customer care shown by management.
