I live in north plano and drive out to ft worth for work. Going to Savianos is, to me, the only reason to ever go to tarrant county. The menu is always fresh. New specials all the time to keep things interesting. Like, I'd recommend something but I've never been disappointed. I mean even the "generic" lasagna has been elevated. The flavors... just... are more fresh. Pleasing. Sure, go to olive garden where they treat you like family, but the only reason they treat you like family there is the food sucks... they have zero else to offer. Trust me. This isn't a paid advertisement. I'm not getting any kind of discount. I'm just wanting Savianos to continue to succeed.

I was in town for a two day meeting and our leader took us here for dinner, as he used to live in the area and Saviano's was a favorite from him. It reminded me of 'old school' Italian with a nice menu of traditional favorite, a dim lighting situation, Rat Pack music playing in the background and cloth napkins. It was not too busy when we came on a Monday night and our server was attentive. We ordered a few appetizers to share and dinner, I had the Capellini Capri which was robust in flavor. I will tell you that the garlic knots they give you which are complimentary are addictive! Super yum, I think I had four or five of them, and forced myself to stop eating them. They apparently make the Cannoli in house, so save room as it is delicious BUT not as delicious as the Chocolate Cake which was scrumptious!

We went for a quick bite before a movie. The atmosphere was elegant, the service attentive, and the food divine. We can't wait to go back and see our server Mitch again.
