January, 2018 I bought a boat form Dallas Car Store that the motor was not as advertised to three web sites from the dealership. Before agreeing on a price I spoke to Tom Georgalis a few times about the condition of the boat and motor. Tom Georgalis said “The boat is a repossession with around 177 hours and that it has been fully serviced, inspected with no mechanical issues.” I installed two new batteries and connected the water hose to the motor. As soon after I turned on the water and tried to start the motor, water came pouring out the exhaust manifolds and out of the side of the engine. The motor was totally shot. I called Tom Georgalis (Dallas Car Sales) and did not get an answer. I immediately texted him and asked if he could please give me a call as soon as possible. Tom texted backed shortly (Same Day) and said “I got you message I’m in Mexico.” Monday, February 5th I called Tom and told him about the boat motor. Tom said that he was sorry and he would contact the auction and see if they did a condition report on the boat and he would get back with me. Wednesday, Tom texted me back and said “I asked the auction to send me the condition report I’m in a meeting right now but I will follow up and see.” Tom also said that “I am not ignoring you, I do not have an answer yet.” “Be patient with me until I get all the facts, I will figure out a solution.” I spoke with Tom a few more time about a possible solution. Tom said that “you could send the boat back to and I could have a used motor put in it.” We agreed to both price the price of getting the motor replaced. Tuesday February 20, 2018 I texted Tom “Tom middle Georgia gave me a price of $3,800 pluse $900-$1,000 labor for the boat motor.” Later that week I talked with Tom and we discuss the motor needing to be replace. Tom said “I will wire you $2,000 towards replacing the motor.” Since Late February when Tom said that, we have spoken a few time and all I get is “I have not forgot about you,” April 20, 2018 I left Tom a voice mail and texted him about the boat motor being just about complete and I am ready to put this behind me. Tom respond with “I got your message.” This was the last message I have received from. Friday May 4 at 6:18pm I called Tom and left him a voice mail message and texted him. I said “Tom, This is Wilmer. As I stated in a tex and voice message on April 20th regarding the boat.” I would like to get this over with.” “it’s been over two months when you agreed on returning $2,000 towards the bad boat motor in the boat that you sold me in January of this year.” “The few time that we have spoke you say that I have not for gotten about you.” The mechanic has replaced the motor.” “When is a resalable time frame for wiring the money to my account? Tom has not return my call or answered my text messages anymore. Do not do business with them. I have contacted the BBB, and Texas Attorney General to file a complaint. I will also be contacting the small claims court in Dallas Texas.
