I reached out to Shane in order to schedule a consultation/estimate. He mentioned on the phone that he could come the week of and if not the following Monday. I was told he'd get back to me in a few hours and update me on timing. A day goes by, nothing. I ended up having to reach out to him to ask for an update on scheduling. Things come up, mistakes happen, no worries. He mentions it'll be another week before he can come out. I asked if it were possible to give a basic and loose estimate if we were to add x amount of zones, and he replied back accusing me of "being in a rush". Forgetting to get back to me and rescheduling is fine, but Shane seems to lack any business etiquette whatsoever. A little pro-tip for you, don't drop the ball on your customer and then turn around and use them as a scapegoat for your utter incompetence.

Shane and his team came out to my house twice. Both times they were fantastic. Both times a paid what I thought was VERY FAIR. Shane showed up on time and completed the work within one day. I read some of these bad reviews and after dealing with the crew I think these clients had some unreasonable expectations. These guys were nothing but professional and effective. Dallas turf and irrigation will be my go to company for all things irrigation. Thank you, Shane and Jose for all you did to help my yard look it's best.

Nice guy, not a good value for the service. Replaced a valve and fixed some leaks in one of the lines for a total of $635 (2 hours of total time). Not what I was expecting considering in the past I have been charged an hourly rate for labor of about $75-$85. Material cost for this job should not have been any more than $50 (Valve price online= $15).

I have used Shane several times over multiple years for a variety of irrigation issues.  I have always been happy with his work and have referred him to friends in the neighborhood who also had positive experiences.

I called Shane at Dallas Turf & Irrigation about a sprinkler station that was running and wouldn't turn off.  He came out and repaired some things, and when he left I turned the system on and had a different station that wouldn't turn off.  He responded right away but said it would be two weeks before he could come back out.  So I had to turn off the system at the main cut off at the street, and water by hand for an hour and a half each time until then.When his team came back out, they repaired some more things and left with the same issue, same station wouldn't turn off.  He came out himself to check it and told me he thought someone, like the lawn mowing company we use, was going behind him and messing with the on/offs for the stations.  However, that's not possible, since the lawn company hadn't been there between the time Shane's team left and when I discovered the issue wasn't fixed 3 hours later.In the end, I asked for just the last $145 of the $600 total we'd paid him and he stopped responding.  $600 paid and we still had the same issue we started with.  Friendly guy, but this seemed unethical by the time he started pointing at the lawn company and taking our money without returning calls or texts.  Be very careful!
