Baylor Scott & White Dallas Diagnostic Association - Park Cities

My wife and I have been going to this practice for 8 years and we have had 5 different doctors because they cant seem to keep their best doctors. On top of that we have had several different medical insurance plans throughout the years including being self pay. Almost every time we go in for something simple we come out with huge medical bills and often times the doctors have ordered some lab or test that isn't covered by insurance or is outrageously expensive. I was charged $330 for a simple visit for a sore throat and cough. They don't even allow the doctors to know how much people are being charged for all of these unnecessary tests and labs etc. They always refer you within their own company and they send you to their own labs allowing them to continue to get paid for everything the doctors do or recommend to you. They don't tell you upfront that they are going to charge you a ton of money for something that you could have gotten much cheaper or even free somewhere else. When you send a doctor a message through their portal it doesn't even go to the doctor until it has gone through multiple layers of administrative personnel. I have liked the doctors that I have worked with here but I have been extremely disappointed with the business and administrative side of Baylor Scott and White. It seems to me that they are more concerned with making money than they are with serving their patients.

Rude, corporate culture medical practice. Uncaring and all business. If you want to be treated like a number and not a patient, this is the practice for you. Find another practice.

I have been with this practice for years and almost every year, I have a new doctor. Today I had my physical scheduled with another new dr, Dr. Philip. My appointment was at 1:30, so I arrived at 1:15, as they requested. I was taken to an exam room around 1:40. At 2:20, I decided to leave. The dr met me at the door and apologized for being late because she had “an office lunch meeting”. Why are you scheduling patients during meetings? Shame on me for waiting that long. That was the fastest physical ever... good thing I didn’t have any complaints. Also, there was lots of empty space in the office and missing pictures from walls. If I hadn’t known better I would’ve thought this practice just sprang up this week. Very unsettling.
