(February 12, 2022) Today the fire alarm went off during USMLE (medical licensing exam). They forced everyone to evacuate into the lobby (not outside, just in the lobby for some reason) for about ~45 min. They shut off about half the computers (so lost about 5 minutes of exam time on a 10 minute clinical case). They were extremely unprofessional and did not care at all about how poorly they handled this. The half of the test-takers whose computers were not shut off were forced to go home (their exams were invalidated). The half of the test-takers who lost valuable exam time were forced to go back into the room to resume their test (nobody was offered the option to invalidate their test and re-take it elsewhere). I have looked everywhere on how to report this situation, but unfortunately Prometric does not have a way to hold themselves accountable. This situation was reported to the USMLE board through the post-test survey. GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR IMPORTANT TESTS!

Yep, here I am reviewing Prometric...what a life. J/k hopefully this helps someone. I like this location. PROS: - Staff is friendly and checks you back in quickly when you have to use the bathroom mid-test. I really appreciated this. - Equipment works well, seats are in good condition (this really matters when taking an hours-long exam) - Location is quiet (unlike what I read about Coit Rd., which dissuaded me from testing there) - Bathrooms are multioccupancy (unlike Waco Prometric). Do you really want to wait like that while the clock ticks on an expensive exam? CONS: - No free parking. I parked across the street at the paid public lot, for about $12. - Water. Most of the restaurants downstairs are closed when you arrive. You can buy water at the hotel front desk next door...for $4. - Bathroom swipe cards. Understandable, but sometimes people forget to give them back. Just FYI. PRO or CON: - Mask policy is independent of state policy (unlike the MSU campus location in Wichita Falls) Overall, I think the cons are minimal. Considering all the money you spent to end up at Prometric, what's another $16? Wear short sleeves plus hoodie in case the temp fluctuates, and don't drink too much water beforehand. Good luck!
