USA Ballroom and Wedding Dance

We contacted Barry a week out from our wedding after panicking we didn't know how to dance to our first song. Within an hour session, he took us from stepping on each other's toes to looking picture perfect. Highly recommend!

Barry is certainly professional in his approach to dance. To begin with, he explains dance in basic terms and builds on that as the lessons continue. I started taking dance (ballroom) lessons in my 40s as a way to motivate myself to stay active. Barry has encouraged the development of technique to make me a better dancer during those years. When it comes to teaching dance, Barry is straight-forward, equitable in the time allowed, and establishes a foundation during each lesson to build on during the next lesson. Barry has been our instructor at the Colleyville Community Center for the past 2 years. His level of expertise allows him to practice and teach elaborate choreographies with high level of precision, nevertheless he has been able to adapt his lessons to our pace of learning as a group using different approaches of teaching to respect our individual needs. His love of dancing and teaching creates an environment that motivates us to learn the many dance routines he puts together. Even if coordination between our brain and body is often challenging, Barry's patience and skills enable each and every one of us to progress in our dancing abilities, enjoying the learning process and keeping dancing fun at the same time.

Barry's teaching can prepare you for recreational or competitive dancing. He makes group lessons fun while giving detailed individual feedback. My wife and I have enjoyed the classroom lesson very much.
