Really disappointed with the lack of customer service. Seeing how the reviews were soo positive I was looking forward to the service and I appreciated being able to get a same day appointment but the mark was missed on the communication and compensation.

I could not be more pleased! Outside faucet was leaking badly after the Texas Winter Storm of 2021. I requested a quote, sent pictures and within an hour they were on the way. Only 30 minutes of work with the price quoted. Wonderful, pleasant, accurate, knowledgeable and able to do the job they are tasked with. Highly recommend this outstanding and honest company! Service: Tap repair

Last Tuesday (02/16) when a pipe burst inside our home, Keith was the amazing man that took my call! He explained what we needed to do and how we should wait till after the next round of snow. Today Keith and Nathan showed up early and in a blink of an eye found the break, fixed it and we have water! They took time to make sure there weren’t anymore leaks. Thank you for helping us, y’all are Heaven sent! We are beyond happy and blessed to have dealt with Hildebrant Plumbing!!! Service: Leak investigation and repair

I am SO disappointed in Hildebrandt's Plumbing. They are more dishonest than I could ever have imagined. Even though Keith (the owner) and Tyler (the son) initially seem to be the sweetest and nicest men you'll ever meet, their hourly rate has increased dramatically since I first started with them 4-5 years ago & it is now obvious that they aggressively nickle-and-dime their prices for labor and material. I've hired them 4 times since 2015. In Jan 2015, when Keith first came with his assistant, the hourly rate was $115. In Feb 2018, when Rick came with his assistant, the hourly rate slightly increased to $125. In April 2018, when Lyle came alone, the hourly rate was still $125. However, in mid-Dec 2019, when Keith came again with his assistant, the hourly rate increased dramatically to $165. The job lasted 4 hours (10 am-2 pm, with actual plumbing work finished by 1:45 pm & cleanup for the last 15 min). However, Keith charged me for 4.5 hours & also full price for any material he used when only a small portion was used--> leading to an eyepopping invoice of $851.24 total for replacing 1 outdoor faucet, replacing 2 bathroom sink faucets, replacing 1 toilet fill valve, and cleaning out 2 bathroom sink drains.... unneccessarily expensive, because all of the Moen sink faucet parts were already provided by us (we ordered it from the manufacturer directly)....and the plumber only had to supply two simple items (a fill valve and outdoor faucet). When I called Tyler to ask about this unexpectedly high rate of $165/hr, he attempted to justify it by saying that for the past 3 years, their single man hourly rate has actually been $145....and that perhaps our two jobs in 2018 were very simple, so that's why I was only charged $125 per hr last year.... I then asked why was I charged $165 per hr when Keith's assistant is not a licensed plumber. Tyler said normally, their two man hourly rate is $187.50, but Keith decided to charge $165, because his assistant isn't officially a 2nd man plumber, but was still helping him by getting things from the truck. In reality, Keith's assistant was just standing and observing Keith for almost 3 hours (during the 4 hr job)...and as part of his training, Keith allowed the assistant to put in the easier 2nd sink faucet by himself (30 min labor)...with the total time for walking to the truck or garage adding up to about 30 min. I was perplexed why I was charged 4.5 hours when the actual work lasted 3.75 hrs. Tyler looked up his notes and said that Keith noted that the job lasted 4 hours 10 min....which still makes no sense that Keith chose to round up to 4 hrs 30 min. Even though the plumbing work was completed in less time (3 hrs 45 min), Tyler said they still charge for their time to collect their equipment (which was a very leisurely and slow process to put in their truck...no valid reason why it took so long, since there was little clean up of the work space with significant debris left on our bathroom floors and countertops). I really wanted to give Hildebrant's Plumbing a fair chance to correct their high and unusual billing, but Tyler was not able to provide any reasonable validity to their expensive charges and in the end, just offered flimsy excuses. There are other plumbers that also do good quality work for far less fees than Hildebrant's. Please do your due diligence when looking for a plumber--and don't be deceived by a Christian business logo or extremely polite manners. Honesty and thorough communication are far more important.
