Seawall Food & Spirits

oh no! I'm reading permenetly closed. I went their summer time last year and saved them for next time I visit Corpus. What can I say they have excellent food at a perfect location; right on the beach! great burgers; great margaritas; great service and very inexpensive to eat at for being literally on the beach!

There are a host of restaurants in the area offering seafood and burgers, so it can sometimes be difficult to pick one when you're out with a group. We tried Seawall Food & Spirits recently and were anything but disappointed. A word of warning, though - ask about drink prices before you order, since they may come as a bit of a shock later. The service is perfectly acceptable and everyone seemed friendly. That's always a plus, of course. On the food front, there were no real complaints from our group. The burgers are charbroiled, and quite delicious. We also had a shrimp and oyster basket on the table, and we all sampled those to our heart's delight as well. Yes, it is a little strange to be eating oysters and burgers in the same meal, but the seafood was fried so it seemed a little more natural than it might otherwise have been. The only real drawback was the wait. The place was understaffed when we arrived, and that means that it took a little longer for us to get our food than we anticipated. I doubt if that is a regular problem, but if it is they need to correct it pronto.

At first look this place looks like a hole in the wall but me and my family have been there several times and ever time the food is great. The shirmp poorboy is delicious. Once you sit down on the patio you won't want to leave.
