I went to Mi Familia based on a recommendation from my parents (who have different tastes in Tex-Mex than I... they can't handle heat.) We were seated relatively quickly, and the server was attentive and quick. However, my enchiladas were swamped in a sauce that tasted like watered down and overcooked enchilada sauce-from-a-can, and the refried beans tasted like a "sweaty rear end" according to the person I was with. We have not been back. While we loved the service, you can get better tasting food at ANY other mexican place.

It has been 3 years since my last visit to this establishment. I wish I had read my review from 3 years ago and paid attention instead of giving them another try. We arrived at approximately 6:30 on a Saturday evening to an almost deserted parking lot..bad sign. When entering, we waited for about 5 minutes to be seated. Only one couple was in the lobby..bad sign two. When we finally got seated and the chips were brought to the table, they were stale, with some of the salsa spilled on them..bad sign three. The food has hit rock bottoml since my last visit. My wife had the beef enchiladas, they were swimming in grease. I had the full Mexican dinner, which wasnt any better with the exception of the guacamole tostada. The waitress acted as if she were doing us a favor by waiting on us. Getting refills on anything was a time consuming process. When we were finished, no questions about desert or how we liked the meal. She never even came back to check on us after dropping the food off. Do not waste you time on this place! ____________________________________________________________________ We have visited 4 times since their opening. Visit 1: Long lines, great food, so-so service. We chalked this up to it being the first week they were open. Visit 2: Short wait, good food, so-so service. Not as swamped, so the service wasn't as easy to overlook. Visit3: Waitress go order wrong and everyone else was finished before the corrected order returned. The food was mediocre in general, although the tamales are good. Last and I mean last visit: Service was better, food was terrible. The beans tasted like a tin can. The beef fajita chimichanga had two very thin strips of meat and the rest was half cooked onion and bell pepper. This place has gone downhill fast. If you are interested in going, the lines are pretty much non existent now. Our last visit was at 7:30 on a Saturday, the place was almost deserted.

Well where do I begin? My wife and I ate here last Thursday and had a wonderful server. She was running around taking care of multiple tables and still managed to remain positive. On the other hand, her manager not so much. My wife left the bathroom and heard the manager yelling at our server. Apparently our server makes the manager look stupid because she has to damage control her tables? It almost seemed like after the manager came to our table the server felt the need to grovel, no such thing was required. Honestly i felt bad for her. The food took 25 minutes to get out, we had simple dishes. I could hear the kitchen yelling in Spanish. We could hardly understand the manager who came to speak to us. Little tip, better managing better service and faster food. We come every week and its always the same problems, probably won't come back.
