SPOILER ALERT Blue Chip K9 is a LIFE CHANGER. About a year ago, my fiancé and I made the decision to adopt our very first puppy and, like many first-time puppy owners, made the choice to take on puppy training on our own. We quickly realized that we lacked the knowledge, consistency, and patience to properly socialize and train a young dog. Before we knew it we had a large 8-month old dog that had a lot of anxiety, lacked self-confidence, and had developed many bad habits due to our own mistakes that we then had no idea how to get under control. After a month of searching around for training options, we finally took our dog Huck to DeWayne at Blue Chip K9 for an evaluation. We knew right away that his team was the right fit for our family and signed Huck up that very night! Not only has DeWaynes behavioral knowledge blown me away throughout this entire process, but what has impressed me even more is how much he truly cares. He continuously gives training tips for any situation that may come up, whether its part of the lesson or not, and is there for us 7 days a week to provide support if needed. Even when he realized that the original plan was not going to be the right course of action for Huck, DeWayne did everything he could do to accommodate us and come up with a plan that he felt would be the most beneficial based on the issues we were having and give Huck the biggest chance of success. Fast forward 4 months and we have now completed the on-leash and off-leash courses through private lessons and are in a completely different place with our boy! His obedience is night and day different and his confidence has sky-rocketed resulting in a MUCH happier dog. On top of that our own confidence has really improved as DeWayne has taught us how to control situations and has proven to us that putting in the work will produce amazing results. Its hard to believe that just a few months ago we were questioning if Huck was going to work for our family, but now we are so excited for the future and to continue to see his growth through group lessons. So, if you and your family are on the fence about starting training, my advice is - DO IT! We consider ourselves a Blue Chip K9 family for life and just signed our newest dog up for puppy classes and eventual board and train to get him started off right and to avoid the issues we experienced with Huck. Overall, we cant thank the entire team enough and there is no one else we would trust with our boys!

Dwayne,Vanessa and Staff are in my opinion the best in DFW, if not the entire state. The training and facilities are absolutely fabulous. They are very accommodating to each individual dogs needs and ability. They have done an amazing job with our Gator. We cant wait to see what the next phase of training will do for Gator. If you are looking to make an investment in your dog, this is the place to be!! Happy training.

I was very nervous at first about dropping my dog off and being able to maintain the training after he finished his boarding, but the group here did an amazing job with my Rocky and even taught me how to be a better trainer for him. They've been very kind and have answered all of my questions for how to continue forward with the baseline they've set for him. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering training for their own dog, and would especially recommend the group training sessions.

Dwayne, Vanessa, and the Blue Chip team took such amazing care of my Buzz while he was in the board & train program. Going into it and dropping him off, I was very confident in their ability to train Buzz, but I was so nervous about my own ability to train and maintain Buzzs skills post-training. Little did I know that, the Blue Chip team would train ME to better understand my dog and his needs and that would result in a closer relationship between myself and Buzz than I could have ever imagined. Going into training, Buzz was a completely different dog than he is now, & I constantly get comments on how well behaved he is. We live in a building with an elevator, and Im always so proud of how calm & collected he is compared to other dogs. I recommend Blue Chip K9 to everyone I know with a dog! I drive from Dallas for Buzzs group training lessons, and I leave every week feeling more confident in my dogs abilities. 10/10 Blue Chip K9 is the best!
