        Very much like Jasper Newton Electric-COOP rural businesses like this one apologetically enact policies that are contrary to good business practices, taking advantage of their customers. In part this is true because there are no checks and balances with monopolies. If you move to Jasper County you will find that this behavior is common because of corruption. JNEC being the worst of it, not to mention the courts as well. I do not suggest moving to this area. But if you do, you will find no other option than to do business with people and businesses that will find a way to profit off your lack of choice.
