image I called ahead to check closing times.  I was told your Sonora, Texas, store closed at 5:30 p.m.  I was 60 miles away and at Walmart.  I knew Walmart had my part by there were at least 30 people waiting in line for entry.  I decided to go to Sonora.  It's also closer to home.I arrived on the store parking lot at 5:25.  I got out of my car and was at the door at 5:26.  I knew something was wrong. There was a woman holding the door who told me they were closed. I told her that it was only 5:26 and showed her the time on my iPhone X.  I told her that AT&T sets the time on their phones based on the U.S. Bureau of Standards time from Boulder, Colorado.  She said the time on her computer said it was 5:30.  She was very rude and argumentative.  I told her I would be calling corporate headquarters with my complaint.  She did not appear to be concerned.  I have never seen any computer tech that would enter the incorrect time on any computer system.  My opinion was that she was lying.  She pulled the door shut, right in my face.  Her demeanor to me was that she had been caught cheating on the store hours of operation and wasn't at all worried about any supervision from management.  I've done business with this store for almost 18 years after encountering problems with the Junction, Texas, store.  That store, I will no longer enter.  My complaints about that store were ignored by both their female regional manager as well as the corporate person I called at that time, too.  My conversations with friends in both Junction and Sonora indicated my experiences are not unique.  I called and left a message with the corporate offices but have no expectations they will bother to return my call.  This is the problem when a business thinks they have a monopoly and have no competition.  They become arbitrary and arrogant. The mayors and the Chambers of Commerce promote the concept of "shop locally."  This is why locals don't.  They forget that Home Depot and Lowe's are just up the highway and interstate.Bob Read, Sonora, Texas.

image I wanted to let you know about my visit to your Woodville store the other day. First let me say I have shopped your other store and this was not even like the same company. I worked in retail for 40 years I know customer service. I walked in the front door the registers were open and running, good. I walked past an employee they didn't even so much as smile, ok, they are having a bad morning. I walked past another one, same, another, didn't even acknowledge me with so much as a head nod or smile. I walked around this store for 5 minutes passing the same people looking for somethin and NO ONE ever said one word to me. I couldn't get reception inside you store so I went outside to call my brother so I could get advise. The only person that spoke to me was the cashier and all she ask was IS THAT IT. I don't even recall if she thanked me or not because I was so upset. Today I called Tractor Supply in Woodville to see if he may have a product I am looking for because I don't want to go back in that store. I told him of my experience and he begin telling me, Well mam don't feel bad I had the same type of experience when I shopped there. He didn't have my item and directed me to a store in Lumberton. I find it so hard to believe you don't know of this and Parker Lumber is the ONLY game in town in Woodville. You should be greeting people and jumping through hoops to help. I WILL NOT SET FOOT IN THAT STOTRE AGAIN I WILL DRIVE TO BEAUMONT. My friend John works there and I know he wouldn't let this happen in his store. Belinda Milligan [email protected]
