The Bastrop Flower Shoppe

I received a photo of the arrangement, and I'm not happy with it. The flowers themselves are very nice and the colors match what I requested, but the execution is off. I'm not a floral designer, but this just looks bad to me. It was expensive, a designer's choice arrangement. I can't recommend this business based on my experience. **update: Second photos shows how the Bastrop Flower Shoppe replied to my feedback directly on their website. They don't appear to handle customer dissatisfaction well. Updating my review to 1 star for poor customer service.

I placed an order online and was contacted by the shop owner shortly after to inform me the order could not be fulfilled. After telling the owner her website should inform customers about unavailable inventory she became very rude and would not let me ask about her cancellation policy. She ultimately ended up hanging up on me. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a flower shop and I would never do business with this women again.

I live out of town and called to request a plant to be delivered to a funeral. The lady who answered the phone was extremely rude and short with me.

Ordered flowers online for same day pick up, in the middle of a road trip. It was easy to coordinate and the arrangement (and hand written birthday message) were beautiful and ready to go when I arrived. They even went out of their way to find me a box to safely transport the flowers. I was impressed!

When it comes to buying local, I definitely try to support small businesses. However when the employees is extremely rude even when the customer is inquiring about flowers ordered for a funeral, that support quickly goes away. Arriving to my dad's viewing early, I noticed the flowers a family member had ordered in a different city were not there. Being that Bastrop only had three flower shops, my husband and I began to call. I called this location and mentioned my name, what I was calling in regards to, and asked for any information. What I got was a lady (later identified as Stephanie) rudely ask why I needed to know. Again I told her I was looking for flowers that were ordered for father's funeral. She then said "well who are you that you need to know?" I told her I was the daughter, and again in a rude tone said "his viewing isn't until 3 so we're not late". I asked for her name and the tone changed and she began to explain their protocols which I informed her I was not aware of. She tried to apologise at that point but honestly I didn't want to hear it. The flower arrangements were nice, I'll give them that much, but I will make sure our family no longer supports your business. My dad was born, raised, and died in Bastrop and to get service like this for his funeral is unfortunate.
