Central Texas Hydroseed was spectacular! We needed to grow grass on a vacant lot next to our construction site to pass an environmental inspection. Michael was great to communicate with and willing to shift his schedule around to help us out. He also recommended a new product to use and it was a great decision b/c we had grass germinating within 5 days. Hard to find this type of service in Austin; would recommend to all.

If it's too good to be true it probably is. Unfortunately with grass seed it takes a few months to find that out. Long after your money was spent. After receiving a final estimate to perform soil prep, erosion control and hydroseeding I accepted the estimate with no negotiation for 2 lots side by side, both with newer homes. The 2 lots were identical with the exception of 1 lot having an abundance of unwanted native and non-native grasses present. All other factors were similar at the time of application. The estimate included the removal of existing grass in order to allow the new grass to establish. After only a few weeks all of the unwanted native and non-native grasses and weed reappeared. Very little sign of new grass from the seeding efforts are visible. The method(s) used by Central Texas Hydroseeding and Erosion Control are ineffective in removing the types and amount of unwanted grasses that were present at the site. This can easily be confirmed by referencing Texas bulk seed supplier’s application instructions for preparing a seed bed for beneficial native grasses. The failure to properly and permanently remove the unwanted grasses prior to seeding allowed the unwanted grasses to return and thus prevented the hydroseeding efforts to work as presented. Brand new equipment with fancy graphics and talk guarantees nothing. Central Texas Hydroseed and Erosion Control refused to remediate or compensate for the unsatisfactory work. Instead attempted to convince me that other conditions contributed to the weeds reappearing over the entire work area which I now know is not the case. The owner offered a full refund for the work on the 1 site which I gladly accepted but he later rescinded the offer. Multiple further attempts to contact the owner were left unanswered and are still unanswered. The owner stated during the job that "he stands by his work". Wording on the company website indicates they guarantee results. What I got was, according to the company's owner right before he drove away was -"everyone wants something for nothing". I got the nothing. This review is written in hopes that other homeowners and business entities considering this type of work verify the effectiveness of methods used for unwanted weed removal and check the business history before making a buying decision.

Severe erosion with caliche driveway on a down slope. "Driveway" contractors failed to adequately solve my problem. Central Tx Hydoseed and EROSION CONTROL met me at my home on a Friday after work and were able to expedite my project to exceed my expectations. Several inch rain event followed shortly after completion and the loads of road base they spread, rolled (compacted!) have held up better than anticipated. Thanks guys! Now to have them return and work on the lawn!!
