Food plain tasting and not tex-mex. The noise level is awfully loud for such a small restaurant. After awhile patrons are yelling for each other to hear. We did not finish our food. It's the worse in Texas.

I have eaten at a lot of Tex-Mex restaurants but loved Mi Sueño! The salsa was outstanding. I generally judge a place based on the sour cream chicken enchiladas which were superior. The service was also excellent. I would go back in a heart beat. It is far from where I live so I can't go often otherwise I would be there a couple times a week at least.

Love the food and drinks! The brisket quesadillas are amazing! The bar is fun to watch games and enjoy margaritas, chips, and Lynne's Queso.

This place is local to me, and I hate to say this - but they have gone WAY down hill. Food sucks, service might be worse. I wish I had better news for a local spot - but it has tanked.

I’ve only eaten there maybe 3 previous times. In the past food wasn’t too bad, margaritas where mediocre at best and didn’t seem to have much alcohol, and the service was okay. I just went in there for lunch today and they seemed pretty slow. I’m assuming that was due to all of the bad weather we’ve been having. Food and Service today was not good at all. I had lunch with my father and he ordered one of the more expensive lunch menus, some kind of chicken fajita with what looked like an avocado sauce on it. The sauce was horrible! He took one bite couldn’t eat it. I tasted it as well and it had a bitter taste like it was initially made from powder and then sat out too long. He sent it back for something else and the waitress (who was either the manager or owner) seem stunned but she did comply with the request. My order didn’t come the way I asked either. I had a simple request of queso on top of my enchilada vs the chili con carne. She wrote it down but I got chili con carne anyway. Not a huge deal but not what I wanted. The chili con carne wasn’t very good which is why I initially asked for queso in the first place. We sat and waited to get the bill for what seemed like forever even though they had already cleared the table. Then, of course, once we got the bill it was incorrect and had the higher priced meal that was sent back. Personally, I’m done with that place. I was barely putting them on my radar before and really only went there because they are close by. Not anymore. I’ll drive over to the Christina’s (the place to go for a decent margarita anyway) or the little whole in the wall up on 377 near I-35. They have a “Best of Denton County 2012†sign in their window. I don’t know who they paid off to get that or if they were the only choice that year but they are nowhere near the best in my opinion. As a matter of fact I would put them at the worst of Mexican restaurants I’ve tried in Denton County. Guess I’ll have to take those “Best of Denton County†awards with a grain of salt now as well. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else like Christina's or Angelena's. Honestly I probably would've been almost as satisfied with Taco Bell. At least the service would've been faster.
