Everything was amazing, reserve a bar seat for a better omakase experience!

We got two of the $75 omakase sets today. While we were ordering, the server told us that the menu has changed and will be different from what is presented on the menu (2 appetizers and a soup prior to 12 nigiris , a hand roll, and a dessert). Understanding that omakase is the chef's choice of the day, we accept that ingredients can be swapped out depending on the supplies etc. However, what we were later presented was 3 appetizers, a soup, 6 nigiris and dessert. Basically swapping out 6 nigiris and a hand roll with an appetizer of otoro--the amount of otoro we got was around the amount for three nigiris. We asked the server if that difference was correct, they told us, yes the menu is different and the portion has changed. This was honestly a terrible experience for us--we understand that the ingredients can change but the portion described on the menu should be honored; if the portion has changed, the menu should be updated instead of misleading customers like this. They later gave us an additional hand-roll-type of dish with perilla, uni, salmon roe and rice as compensation, a quick apology from the server, and no additional explanation of why the portion was so off from the menu. Overall, the food was decent, but terrible experience for the price.

Good enough food but I expected more professional service for the price. We did not sit at the bar but maybe this would have been a better experience than sitting right by the door next to the cash register. I felt that our server got very close to the food when pointing out each item with dirty fingers used to clear plates at other tables. She was also rude and bossy to another server who may have been a trainee and mistakenly brought us an item intended for another table. There was also a big push to choose the $150 (per person) omakase when we only wanted the $75 option. I actually felt bad that our friends spent over $350 on dinner with such a lackluster experience.
