Wonderful eye doctor. Best experience I have ever had going to the eye doctor. Dr Mooney was very nice and comforting. But the best part was mrs. Mooney that runs the front desk. Made me feel right at home we literally talked for 30 min after my appointment. It’s family owned and operated so I loved that as well. Thank you very much for everything dr. Mooney and mrs. Mooney for such a wonderful experience.

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Michael Mooney and Ginger Mooney, the office manager. I have not had vision insurance available to me for the last couple of years and I wanted to support a small, family business. I found Dr. Mooney's office last year on Yelp and it was only a few miles from my house and had some good reviews so I made an appointment. I was blown away - first at Dr. Mooney's patience and care through the exam and then at Ginger's help choosing my frames, which are great quality and came in quickly, so I still have them. I was already a loyal customer, and then I took my daughter in last week for her exam and to be fitted for contacts. First, Ginger schedules appointments far enough apart to have the time to sanitize all surfaces and make it safe for each customer, so exposure to COVID is not a concern. Second, my 11 year old has super sensitive eyes, and has never enjoyed eye exams, but Dr. Mooney took extra care and time and she said it was not uncomfortable at all, even when he put her contacts in for the first time. They want to ensure that patients can insert/take out contacts before they send them home with them for the first time, and Ginger spent 45 minutes with my daughter after her appointment that day, patiently talking her through removing the contacts. My daughter was unable to do it, so we scheduled another appointment for her a few days later. Again, Ginger sat with her and patiently talked her through the process, gave her pointers and encouragement and never rushed her. My daughter was still unable to put the contacts in and Ginger, after noticing my daughter's Harry Potter Vans, brought over a pair of Harry Potter-like round frames for my daughter to try on (LOVED them) and said that she would put them aside so no one else could order them in the event that we decided contacts are not for her. We made another another appointment. The third time, with Ginger's encouragement and patience, she was able to get a contact in. She could not remove it, so we had to call Dr. Mooney in to take it out. Ginger gave her some expired non-prescription contacts to practice with on her fingers at home AND Ginger had already ordered the glasses for us before the appointment. We will have one final appointment (for now) when the frames come in. My daughter has made so much progress, and all at Ginger's patient and caring hand. I am blown away. We may have to wait on contacts for my daughter, but when she is ready we will be at the Mooney's office. I am a loyal customer and will go no where else for frames or appointments - unless, of course, Dr, Mooney and Ginger decide to retire, and then I will only move on to their recommendation.
