Now this place is a great secret in Austin. Although small and with a fast food style motif, everything is cooked to order here. There used to be one in Westlake but it closed a while back. Then they opened another in Southpark Meadows, but it too closed. This particular place has been in Austin a long time and I never go by without having lunch there. I can't say anything about any of their menu items except their Baja Shrimp Tacos, which is the only thing I've ever had for over 15 years. Sauteed shrimp on corn tacos, with cabbage, avocado and ranch dressing. The lunch comes with a pile of chips and their fresh salsa bar has some of my favorites, especially the Mango! I had a job interview about 4 years ago with two women who came all the way down from Dallas to interview me. We were near this place and I suggested it to them when I found out they were going back to Dallas after lunch. Both of them raved about the shrimp tacos at La Salsa. And I got the job. Now I'm not saying that's why I got the job (which I'm still working at to this day), but recommending a good lunch spot to them didn't hurt. I am super disappointed to see that this great place closed recently (10/17).

Fast, fresh, tasty food and super great customer service. Perfect casual dining experience. I'll be back!

By far the best salsa bar in Texas. The Mahi Mahi fish tacos are absolutely delicious and the prices are great!!! The manager, Cerafin, is always there to greet you with a smile. We've been coming here since 2005.
