Updates: The agents were very nice and helpful during the follow ups. They were able to handle my case to the point I only needed to pay $250 deductible. Now my car is fixed and I'm happy with the result! I wish they will be more clear in the future to avoid miscommunication. Thank you for the help! Previous: I've been with them for about 2 years. The agent was not very professional! First of all, my new cars are financed and I told them while adding the cars to my policy. I also told them that the lender required $500/$500 deductible full coverage. This was in 2018. I met with one of the agents around 3/22/19 to go over my policies to see potential savings. She didn't know that my cars are financed and that she didn't have my lenders information! Isn't this one of the first things they ask when issuing a new car?! My current coverage ends on 4/12/19. I've already paid the premium in full for the current coverage (10/12/18-4/12/19). I asked her to change my deductible to see the savings for the renewal. She didn't mention that this will affect my current coverage as well. Today, I filed a claim (my car got hit at a parking lot while I was at work and no notice was left). The representative told me that I have a deductible of $1000! That's how I found out that the agent changed my policy. Don't you need my signature for that? Plus, I also found that the VIN for one of the cars on the policy was incorrect! Anyways, I now have to pay up to $1000 instead of $500 before Farmers will cover the rest!
