We worked with Sarah for several septic inspections. She is wonderful. She is on time and really dedicates time to look into how the system is working.

I would not recommend using Sarah Calvert Septic for designing a septic system unless you have 3 weeks or more to spare to get a septic system designed. Then you need additional time for the county to approve the design and then add time for your contractor to install the septic system. We contracted with Sarah on April 20th 2015, she promised us a design within a week. May 13th 2015, still no word from Sarah. She does not answer e-mails or phone calls in a reasonable amount of time. I recommend using a different person or company to design your septic system.

Sarah designed a septic system for us on a very challenging small site in Travis County in the Austin ETJ (Houston black for the first 1 to 2 feet and limestone not far below). We were very pleased with her communications and design. I decided to do the work myself and so I rented a backhoe, had a tank shipped and deposited, dug the trenches for the drain field, etc and Sarah answered some key questions so that I could complete the process. It was an extreme value and an education. I paid someone she had worked with before to dig the site evaluation holes that was key as your soil type and the depth of different features has everything to do with what you have to do for your site. I am sure I was a pain but she was pleasant, patient and informative.
