Jennifer, When I started looking for a replacement for the old carpet, I had Lowe's give us an estimate, but I didn't like any of their flooring choices. I used Home Advisors for other options. That's when we met you. We chose to use Foundation Flooring for several reasons, but most of that had to do with the level of service you personally provided. You made an appointment to come measure very soon after we first spoke. You were timely and responsible. You always fulfilled everything you said you would do. You were prompt to respond when we had questions or were discussing options and you worked with us to find a way to get the job to fit our needs and budget. We liked that we could do business with a locally owned business. But, the number one reason we chose Foundation Flooring was we felt we could trust you. The new flooring looks great and we are very pleased with the choices we made, both the new flooring and Foundation Flooring for making it happen. When the time comes that we have need for more flooring, commercial or personal, you will be the person we will call. Donna Walker/Ron Marshall Marshall Financial Services Sent from Donna's iPad

I began renovations on a condo in the downtown Austin area in early May and obtained several bids to replace the floor and wall tile in the kitchen and bathroom. Jennifer with Foundation Flooring came out and walked the property. The bid that she provided was competitive in price, and she estimated that it would take two days to complete all of the work. I provided her with the condo managements rules for contractors, which included acceptable working hours and soundproofing requirements. On the first day, the workers arrived unprepared. They claimed that they would have to cut all of the tile outside, and FF would have to charge an "access fee. Instead of starting on the demolition, all of the workers left the property. This access fee issue later ended up being irrelevant. The next day, I went to check on the property in the evening and found that the work crew had left the condo with several lights on, windows open (while it was raining outside), and a puddle under the removed refrigerator on hardwood floors. Even after expressing concern about this, the lights were left on and the windows were left open on future occasions as well. During the project, I received several calls from the condo management due to neighbors complaining about the crew cutting tile with the front door wide open. The door continued to be left open after I asked the crew to keep it shut. The crew had to re-tile the shower niche several times due to various issues - crooked sides, cracked tiles, raw tile edges exposed, etc. The quality of work was decent after several attempts, but there are several grout lines that I will have to fix myself. To save some money, I picked up the materials myself. The list of necessary materials that I was provided with was not exhaustive, so I had to make several additional trips to the store. The project ended up taking over two weeks. There were several days that I was expecting a work crew to arrive and no one ever showed up. On what was supposed to be the last day of work, Jennifer gave me her word that even if she couldnt find a crew to come finish it up, she and her husband would be there to do the work themselves. When the crew later backed out, she also backed out, and the work did not get completed until the next day. Every time I brought up the delay in progress, Jennifer would inform me that it was my fault since I had requested additions to the original plan - tiled toe kicks (since the original ones were damaged during demolition) and sealer (at the suggestion of the work crew). In my opinion, these additions hardly justify an additional two weeks of work. The end cost was about 37% more than the original bid. Some of this excess was for the soundproofing material that was not included in the initial bid. I was also billed for a parking ticket that the crew received near the property. Throughout the whole process, FF was unresponsive. Jennifer would not respond to my messages all day and then try to make me feel guilty that she was working after hours. I also tried to call the main office number, and no one answered. Overall, this was quite a frustrating experience that completely removed the excitement of the renovation project. The delay in progress directly impacted several other renovation projects that I was working on, as well as my move-in date. The minor savings over other flooring companies were not worth the added stress. This company is not professional or trustworthy, and I would not recommend them for your flooring needs.
