Everything about the services offered is deceptive. From the idea that they offer you "college help", which you could find online for free, instead of paying $1800 for! Much of what they tell you about specific colleges, and their application processes turned out to be untrue. When asking the colleges directly (one of them we drove a LONG way to interview/see personally), they completely DENY ever having a program like that, and everything you were told by College Authority had no basis in fact. Then, they offer life insurance to help you "hide" your money from the colleges, so that you qualify for more FAFSA money. What they don't tell you is you pay outrageous LOAD FEES for the life insurance, which bankrupts the investment you intended to make, which you are also now locked in for a full 3 years without option! They purposely hide the load fees and the real cost of the insurance until you get your first statement, a YEAR LATER. It turned out to be one of the worst financial mistakes we've ever made, and we consider ourselves financially savvy. Buyer beware!
