Louis Ramos

I've been a patient with Dr Ramos for the last couple of years and it's been helpful in multiple ways. I had a few health issues that are common with middle-aged women (hormones symptoms, overweight, metabolic syndrome, high cholesterol, low thyroid etc) and wanted to get on a better path for healthy aging. It's been very useful to have more data points, oversights and discussions around my health and fitness. I've lost weight, gained muscle, improved my VO2, reversed the insulin resistance etc. The 24/7 on-call option has been convenient for getting a prompt initial assessment of the occasional semi-urgent problem (wrenched ankle, strange rash etc), versus waiting at a crowded urgent care clinic or playing appointments phone tag. I recommend Ramos 1) for anyone who wants an MD partner for improving their health and fitness in a more proactive and in-depth way than the standard annual physical, 2) people who want more access and dialogue with their primary MD, for a deeper understanding of their health issues and lab metrics, or 3) who have complex medical issues that would benefit from an oversight integrative perspective.

I did a DEXA scan with Dr. Ramos and he took the time to talk me through the results and answered all my questions. You can get scans for cheaper, but I thought the insights he shared made it well worth the additional cost.
