Frontier Bar

I've had a few friends play shows here. Chill place with good space and sound for small to medium sized shows. Love the backyard space, decent bathrooms and the solid pours.

I've been here twice before the party really started. Once they were cooking burgers and giving them away or selling them for a good price (I can't remember which). I like it because it doesn't seem pretentious, just a good dive bar. The bartender was nice and the banter was fun. I recommend it. And eat at Gourmands right down the street. That's a nice combo!

I visited the Frontier Bar last night for their grand opening; and I was pleased with the diamond-in-the rough ambiance, drink specials and DJ's. Frontier has just enough grittiness to claim dive bar distinction because it has the requisite dark walls, large bar area, dim lighting and concert posters spattered throughout the venue. In addition, Frontier has a large backyard with plentiful picnic tables for folks to gather, drink, laugh and talk. Another plus is that Frontier is not too far for most folks to travel; and it a short walk to the nearest bus stop at E.7th and Webberviile Road that blessedly has Night Owl service so patrons who wish to imbibe and close the place down don't have to worry about eparking, expensive taxi cabs rides or driving while inebriated. I am sure that I will visit again and again.
