Definitely take an ASOP class if you are considering it! I promise it will be unlike any photo clasd you have taken and that is a good thing! I relearned photography from an entirely new perspective and think of taking photos with a new mindset now and I think this will help me to be a more effective photographer. Andrew is quite skilled and unique at teaching and is extremely entertaining. Even with a short attention span, i was easily able to stay entrigued throughout the entire class. If you take a class, my suggestion would be to clear your schedule as much as possible so that you can really engage in the "assignments". I wished i had more tim3 to practice what I was learning. Also, i should add that Andrew treats everyone the same and there is no personal judgement during the class, no matter how inexperienced one is!

There is a reason ASOP has a 5.0 rating. The Photo 1 class was the best continuing education class I've ever taken. Andrew brings incredible passion, excitement, and knowledge. Highly recommended.

Andrew is an incredible teacher. He incorporates photography instruction with wide-ranging discussions on photographic history and theory. Youll learn the mechanics of photography in his classes but also develop a visual literacy and vocabulary for photographs and the cultural meanings they often have. Highly recommended.

Andrew is a amazing teacher. He succinctly explains complex topics and gradually builds your knowledge. Highly recommend both his classes (I and II). He does not just tell you what camera settings to use for each condition but the theory behind each setting.
