Update: This is the first time we used Stan's for plumbing & very happy with the experience. Josh was professional, friendly, explained the process & made the repair in a timely manner. We will use again. Stan's came through again for us. Both upstairs & downstairs AC units were not functioning. Daniel arrived onsite not long after I called them. Very quick replacement of a garbage disposer after we accidently fed it a screw (which I do not recommend). Service Tech drove all over North Austin to get the replacement part and had the new unit installed within a few hours. I highly recommend both Stans and the individual service technician.

I had my regular spring A/C service by another company and they said the unit either needed a new compressor or needed to be replaced completely. I scheduled two more companies to come out for second (and third) opinions. One gave a similar diagnosis but said he wouldn't recommend compressor replacement. He recommended complete replacement of the unit. Jackson Ponder from Stan's came and was very thorough in his inspection of the unit. He cleaned it thoroughly, tested everything and said not only did the unit not need to be replaced, the compressor was fine too! He was professional, communicated what he was doing, and did not rush through the work. I will update this review if time tells a different story, but right now I'm feeling like Stan's was the trustworthy company out of the three I dealt with this week. I also appreciated the professionalism and friendliness of the scheduler I talked to on the phone.

4/9/24 Matt Santos gets a 5 star rating from me for the maintenance check he did on my HVAC system. He arrived on time and was efficient and pleasant and professional. He summarized what he did and what he found. The prices are competitive at Stans HVAC. They are my only company for HVAC A/C and heating services. Ive been using them for approximately four years. I recommend Matt Santos as a knowledgeable technician. I recommend Stans for. HVAC maintenance and problems. Aug 2,2023 five stars for Luis Nuez again. He always knows what the problem is and how to resolve it. He fixed the rattling on my outside HVAC unit quickly. I recommend Stans as a company and Luis Nuez as an expert technician. Thank you! April 20 and 21, 2023. If I could give twenty excellent stars to Luis Nuez, I would. He has tirelessly worked and discussed this ac problem with his field manager at Stans and virtual tech support for this brand, model, and serial number ac. It was installed in 2018 by a different company ie not by Stans. Luis knows this system and arrived to work on it again today although not scheduled for south Austin. Identified the issue. I highly recommend Stans always stands by its work and will work until issued identified and resolved. I think Luis Nuez deserves absolutely high commendation for his expertise, tireless work, professionalism and super interpersonal skills and customer education. April 20, 2023. Five stars excellent to Kevin Borseth who evaluated this HVAC system because I had expressed interest in a brand new HVAC system from Stans since my current 2018 HVAC system bought and installed from a different company continues yo have failing warrantied machinery that should not be failing. He did hard work and will continue to research at his office Re failures with this particular brand, serial number. He gave me an honest opinion and did not try in the least to sell me a new part or new system. I recommend Stans again for the honesty, hard work, and expertise of employees at Stans Re HVAC systems the only department Ive needed to use. Great customer education. Highly recommend this technician and Stans HVAC. 09/02/2022 thanks to Luis Nuez and Mike Crandall the big ac leak was identified, treated, resolved. It was big slime build up in a main pipe and tray. They removed the load of slime and treated the pipes. These two experts have previously done expert work here. They do a good job of answering my questions and doing customer education. They are professional, personable, patient. Best of all they identified the leak problem and fixed it. Ill have ac again. FIVE STARS and more EXCELLENT FOR BOTH. 6/21/22 Luis Nuez provides exceptional service all three times made a service. He is subject matter expert with AC/HVAC in my case. He discusses ac problem in my case with his service coordinator Mickey Crandall who expertise in HVAC brands. Luis is professional, personable, discusses customer concerns and explains the problem and the fix. Hell return for same problem if recurs. I recommend Luis Nuez as the technician to ask for.
