Mr. Owens was my son's court appointed attorney. My son has never been in trouble at any point in his life. He found himself in a situation and instead of Mr. Owen's defending innocent he told my son his best bet would to do and open plea of guilty with hopes of getting probation. During the trial the state and the accuser stated the wrong date and Mr. Owens did nothing. What kind of lawyer tells his client to plead guilty in hopes of getting probation and what kind of lawyer doesn't pay attention to what's being said in the court Room. The next day after sentencing I brought up the date that was stated during the hearing and Mr. Owen stated he didn't hear that. Then he told me he felt like I was attacking him. How can you attack somebody when you're stating facts that they're not doing their job as a civil servant. Long story short if you don't wanna go to jail do not use Mr. Owens as your attorney.
