The first visit I attended was with a doctor under Praderio that was in severe violation of ethical practices. He actually said the words, "well aren't you just the cutest thing, oh by the way, have you ever been sexually assaulted?" His response when I answered the question: "oh honey, you need to buy a gun!" He said that on a FIRST meeting with psychiatric patient. (EDIT: this man's name was Whitfield.) I notified my primary physician, who had done the referral, and she informed Praderio. He called me in to try and resolve the issue, then prescribed me medication himself. I had a severe reaction to the medication that I took on Friday and when I called on Monday they said to "just cut it in half". I asked how to half the dosage on a capsule and the nurse didn't know. I called the pharmacist, and she said not to try cutting the dosage of a capsule, that I needed a new prescription. When I called back, Praderio said to stop taking the pills and just wait six weeks for a new appointment. I was significantly worse off for having tried to get help from this office.

The people at this office are nice. I didn't care for the service and I won't be going back. I was diagnosed with depression. I was given meds. Told them they had no affect, so they increased the dosage. I then told them it was making me worse, so they add meds to the meds I was already taking. Over two years I went from depressed to having panic attacks to not being able to function. I finally went to a doctor in Dallas. She took me off of all the meds and prescribed a single med. Absolutely wonderful! A true blessing. The doctor in Dallas told me that the meds I was on would make my condition worse. I feel great now, but went through two years of Hell because of a misdiagnosis and Dr. Praderio's office not listening to me. One time I waited in the waiting room four hours past my scheduled appointment. When my name was finally called, the whole waiting room broke into applause. Dr. Praderio's office wrote me a script for the new med. When the script ran out, I was told I would have to go into the office before they would renew it. They wouldn't even write a small script to last me until my appointment. That was the last straw. I will never go back there again.. I've had a couple of people tell me I should sue them, but I won't even consider it. I'm just so very happy getting diagnosed correctly and receiving the correct med. FINALLY!!
