Great food. This is just an awesome little hole in the wall place not too far from base.

Middle East has very delicious and interesting food. The owner is very passionate about serving high quality, made to order food and loves to introduce new customers to his cuisine. I was a little unsure about what to order, but the owner's suggestions were spot on. Definitely the best gyro, shish kabob, lamb within 300 miles. This place is a great dining adventure. It may not be fancy, but well worth the time and money. I'll definitely be back.

We came for lunch on the weekend and it was dead. We haven't had decent Middle Eastern food since we left Upstate NY and ignored the warning sign of an empty restaurant as we have found that good food is not often appreciated in this part of Texas. We ordered falafel for an appetizer, lamb kebabs, and chicken shawarma. Bottom line, we still haven't had decent Middle Eastern food since we got to Texas. Everything was "OK" but was painfully underwhelming. The falafel tasted more of hushpuppies than chickpeas, the kebabs were painfully oversalted, and the chicken shawarma had almost certainly never touched a cooking spit. Add to this the pain of a $50 total bill for two people and you have a disappointing meal. The final issue came from the fact that we couldn't leave as the waitress disappeared into the back for long stretches of time. It took more than 10 minutes of waiting at the front counter just to pay for our meal. We really wanted to like this place but it wasn't very successful at any level.
