Having grown up going to a dentist who didn't believe in numbing the area before drilling or filling cavities, I was not fond of having to go to the dentist when I moved to Chattanooga in the late 1970s as a student at Tennessee Temple University. I picked Dr. Fussell out of the phone book and found a dentist who was PERFECT for me. It's not that I looked forward to appointments, but I wasn't terrified anymore. Dr. Fussell was kind, patient and was the best dentist I could have ever hoped for. I moved back to Kansas in 1992 and the first time I had a dental issue, I actually considered driving the 1,000 miles back to Chattanooga just so I could go to Dr. Fussell. It is hard to find a patient dentist you can trust, but Dr. Fussell was one!!

I have been going to Dr. Fussell for forty years. He gives painless injections and is great with pain control during procedures. He is also a proactive dentist who pays attention to gum health and as a result has helped me keep all of my natural teeth over the years. I have a few crowns and none have ever failed. I recommend him highly.
