Ms. McKinnish Burton is knowledgeable, professional, caring, thorough, and got everything done in a timely manner. I was updated throughout my divorce in a timely manner. Everyone at her office are professional, and caring and knowledgeable about the process of getting divorced. I would definitely recommend Ms. McKinnish Burton.

In my 8 years of co-parenting one of the most positive experiences I have had thus far was mediation at McKinnish Law Group. This should not only serve to tell you how hopeless things had felt to me at this point but also as a testament to just how truly gifted that Jennifer at McKinnish Law Group is at providing mediation services. Jennifer is truly meant for this line of work. Because family law, custody, divorce and mediation cases not only require legal knowledge and expertise but also social and emotional intelligence as well and Jennifer possesses all those qualities. As clich as it sounds she was able to handle my life's most delicate issues with the utmost care.
And I was so impressed by Jennifer and how she conducted herself as a mediator that I'm still somewhat in awe (and somewhat fangirling over) of her gift at handling what I knew to be a difficult situation. And she was able to mediate between the two parties in my situation in a way that was balanced, fair and kind. She's just excellent at her job and she has given me peace of mind and hope again for the future of my situation, something I hadn't felt in a long time.
And had I known Jennifer and her wonderful attributes and her professionalism in handling sensitive issues prior to my own mediation, then I probably wouldn't have joined every family law related Facebook group over the past 6 months so I could pour over case after case in these groups because there are a lot of family law horror stories to read and there are so many cases that end in heartbreak. And so many people were still actively fighting an uphill battle to rectify and resolve their cases. So there are many heartbreaking scenarios to picture yourself in.
So it can be scary and lonely if you don't have the right person or anyone at all to help guide you in your family law court journey.
But Jennifer is the guide you want to have in any capacity you need for navigating the world of family law cases.
She not only has the knowledge and the know how from practicing family law for 19 years she also exudes the kindness, empathy and understanding needed in these situations and she is relatable in dealing with them because she is a Mom too.
I found The McKinnish Law Group Sevierville Offices to be thoughtfully designed in a way that allowed me to be comfortable while facilitating the intended purpose of meeting there. The meeting room I was in was spacious (perfect for anxious pacing) and had a nice view of downtown Sevierville. Staff would also very cautious to make sure I was comfortable and kept the comfort of the other party in mind.
Everyone who works in the Sevierville office is very aware of and in tune with potential issues that can occur that may deviate from the intended purpose of using their services. Relationships and the nature of family law cases can cause complications, staff minimized any issues in my situation flawlessly.
While I do not have experience with Jennifer as my lawyer after seeing how she conducts herself in the mediator role I can confidently say that if you need a family law or divorce lawyer hire Jennifer. If you need to find someone to be involved in your family law case in any capacity; hire Jennifer.
She helped guide us towards solutions for problems that had been plaguing my coparenting relationship for years in 2 hours!
Had I known that 2 hours with Jennifer could have saved me from years of turmoil, frustration and heartache I would have figured out a way to get her involved in my case much sooner.
As a single mom battling two other people, I had felt so beaten down over the years by the whole situation. And I've struggled with my fear of being cast as the jealous or bitter single mom because I've experienced people treating me like I am and being dismissive of the things I say because of it.
Jennifer didn't make me feel that way. And I'm truly grateful to her for that and that I had her as my voice to the other party and their voice to me. She made me feel important and like I was being heard for the first time in a long time.
