I hired Tom to do some work on my deck and gazebo. After I paid him I called him and told him that he needed to finish some of the trim work on the gazebo. Then there was a lot of back-and-forth by way of text messages and in the end he just pretty much forgot about it. I guess he was through with me since he had most of his money already. Sad way to do business totally unprofessional.

Thomas traveled to my home to create an estimate the day we spoke, and he had an estimate ready that same day. His price was reasonable when compared with two other painters. Shortly thereafter, he showed up to paint, and he finished the job quickly without disruption. While paying to stain a fence is not very sexy or rewarding, Thomas made it painless for us. He was professional with a sense of humor, and talking with him was conversational and relaxed. I will definitely work with Thomas Bostrup, Inc. again for repainting the interior of our home. We attempted to hire him to do a simple job painting job and got a run around. Doesn't seem to want to work.

Tom’s professionalism was undesirable to me. This painter was referred by my neighbor for a fence staining job. My two neighbors, along with myself had our fences stained by Tom on the same day. The three of us have the exact same homes/fences. Tom quoted my neighbor $450 to stain his fence. When I asked Tom for a quote, he quoted me $650. Again, my neighbor and I have the exact same style fence/dimensions. Tom and I negotiated for $600; something about extra cost for materials. Then Tom agreed to stain the wall casing of my deck, as well as the fence. Afterwards, when I went to inspect his work, I discovered one side of the deck casing was not stained. When I asked Tom about the work not being done, he said “I didn’t quote you for that and I’ve put my equipment away.” And he left one side of my deck casing unstained. Never did he offer to finish the work. His professionalism was undesirable. This customer left unsatisfied! Service: Staining
