Fun place for birthdays,gatherings, etc! Great food, Great service! Great atmosphere!

Food is great! This restaurant is always busy and the waiting period to get a table can be long but worth the wait.

My family and I ( four of us ) decided to try a different hibachi restaurant and picked Tokyo Japanese Steak House in Green Hills. As we didn’t have a reservation, the wait time for four was only about 15 minutes and we were promptly seated. From there, our dining experience only went downhill! It took the waitress ten minutes before she took our drink order. After getting our drinks, we placed our order....25 minutes at this point. I would like to say this was due to the restaurant being busy though it was 100% the staff not working together and each server was on their own...no help whatsoever. We finally placed our order and in a timely fashion our soup and salads came out. The salads were coated in dressing and the soup was to temperature. We each ordered the same thing (Filet Mignon & Shrimp). Usually we can count on at least the quality of service and food being good, having a chef that has earned the title and loves cooking and entertaining the group in front of him/her. Unfortunately, we got none of the above. The filet mignon was ordered medium rare and was cooked anywhere from medium rare to well done and was not prepped so large ribbons of fat were still attached. The shrimp were not deveined and were over cooked as they were chewy and hard to eat. We each asked for some teriyaki sauce for our rice which the chef gladly poured over our bowls of rice. Much to our disliking, the sauce had chunks of something in it and the main ingredient was salt salt and more salt. Unfortunately, this same teriyaki sauce was used to cook all of our food in it and should have been caught by the chef...though by the end of our our meal it was apparent he didn’t care how the food tasted. In the end, Nashville has many options for Hibachi and I would pass on this restaurant for the Hibachi option. In my opinion, This restaurant is on life support from hotels visitors and first time Nashvillians wanting to try something different. They will not get a second chance to earn my business as the food and the service was that bad. I hope their management team reads this and takes action as the 8 people seated at our table all were very unhappy with their experience and the quality of the food.
