Negligent. Rude. My spouse had an ambulance ride in late 2020. The city that provided the ride has all their billing handled by the irresponsible people at Change Healthcare ("CHC"). I never heard about the bill, so I investigated and found out that Change Healthcare never sent the bill to insurance. Instead they sent it to collections. Never notified us. Never asked for insurance. Just sent it to collections. Nice. I called the collections agency, and they agreed CHC had screwed up. They said they were sending the bill back to CHC. I never heard anything. So I called Change Healthcare to inquire and I spoke with Marcy from CHC on Aug 17. Marcy said our bill "should not have been sent to collections." I then asked what the plan was. Marcy said CHC would bill insurance. I asked if I could email her the record of my email convo with the collections entity, just to show I was diligent. Marcy said "we don't email." She claimed CHC doesn't use email. I asked to speak to a supervisor, so I could wrap this up. Marcy said a supervisor was not available. I asked for a supervisor's phone number so I could call. Marcy said "we are not able to give out that information." But Marcy said she would have her supervisor, Maggie, call me. "You will get a phone call back," said Marcy. But then crickets. Never got a call. More than a month went by. So I called CHC again today, Sep 21, and got April. April said the bill was still in collections. ! Marcy had done nothing. April could also see in the notes that Marcy had forwarded the request to Maggie for a supervisor review, but that Maggie had done nothing and not responded. In over a month. These people at Change Healthcare just don't care about the customer. I've had to do all the follow-up. If I hadn't called, I'd never have learned that Marcy misled me (saying CHC was taking it from collections, when in fact CHC pushed it back there), and that CHC has still failed to submit the bill to insurance... after ten months!
