Nice historic location on the pricey side as to be expected but it's the only one in Nashville I wish they didn't want $150 for a lobster or I would have tried the Lobster .the prime rib was among the best prime rib I have ever had though. However I'm sure there are better steakhouses for half of the money

I have really enjoyed the place (architecture and vintage style). I give 5 stars to the staff. However, the "Filet Mignon" was amazing despite the fact that French mustard (dijon mustard) was really missing. Please take in consideration that I'm a French guy who has different taste habits and I'm just in visit for few days in Nashville. Nevertheless I highly advice this place.

We were there early on Saturday January 17th for dinner, there was more staff than customers , we had heard great things about the restaurant and we're looking forward to eating there. After telling the waiter that I did not want a tough stake we placed our order. A 79 dollar steak ordered medium rare. The steak was very very tough. the flavor was good. I told the waiter and he said " that type of cut in a little tougher than other cuts " I thought. I told him that before I ordered I did not want a tough steak and he did not suggest another cut. I have grilled cheaper steaks of the same cut that were never that tough. I would hope they get things to get her there soon. I don't know we will go back and would not send any other Doctors from our group there either. One thing the waiter said was the get mostly out of town customers. I guess the local community knows how bad it is

We were referred to the Stock-Yard by our hotel's front desk. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and asked if we had reservations, which was kinda funny since there were literally only 2 other groups of patrons at the time we were there. The restaurant is huge and could probably accommodate 200+. Waiter was good, attentive but not overbearing. Excellent selection of wine. My $72 steak was good, but not amazing, and was garnished with an onion ring. Everything is ordered a-la-cart. Sides and salads are $10 each. The baked potato was really good and could easily be shared. Honestly, the menu seems a bit out-dated and not a lot of creativity. This place seems like it would be a great candidate for Restaurant Impossible. It really needs to be updated as it seems to be a shadow of whatever it once was. I read on Google that it's on the "top 10" list of steak houses in the nation, but I have to wonder who wrote that and when.
