We had a wonderful meal last night. I had the special, which was Country Fried Chicken with white gravy. My wife had Mac & Cheese, brussel Sprouts and fries. The bartender Melanie was so friendly and attentive. We enjoyed everything about the meal and we will return soon!

Waited over an hour for my food, which is funny seeing as how I ordered an omelete. I asked for no cheese in it, but it was loaded with cheddar. Also, the plate was cold, did not feel like arguing about it. The decor was absolutely awful, they were going for this "southern folk art" look but it really reminded of what it would look like if we raided all the attics in the neighborhood. Imagine every "pay by the lb goodwill" you have ever been to. The service, well it existed but it wasn't present, i ordered a bloody mary but the "server" told me she did not know how to make it and there was no bartender present. i asked to speak to the manager and the our server laughed and told me "we have no manager at the wild hare, and the owner is never here". What's better than restaurant anarchy? Worst restaurant experience I've had since moving to Nashville.

I am a customer here quite often. This restaurant is almost right outside my front door and I haven't had a meal I didn't like yet! Thus far, I've tried the salmon blt, the 4oz. burger and the peanut butter pie, as well as the Mac and cheese, fries, grits and asparagus. Everything is tasty, although a little overpriced. There is a bar but I haven't visited that area of that restaurant yet. The peanut butter pie was a little too rich. The fries are a little too overcooked, every time. Ultimately, I'm very critical and the few things I'm naming aren't issues that would prevent me from visiting every week, as I have been since I first ate there a few months ago. A great addition to the ever-improving west side!

casual and fun, in an older house gutted to make room for the kitchen, dining area, and bar. can get crowded on weekend nights and sometimes the kitchen gets behind. entrees a little too complicated sometimes, recommend sandwiches/apps/salad/pizza at the bar. serving staff friendly and hip.

I was invited to The Wild Hare by a friend several months ago and had a great experience! Food/Service/Decor - all great! I was super excited to bring my husband and some additional friends for Valentine's Day Dinner; made a reservation; called Valentine's Day to confirm - only to have a menu placed in front of me for $60/couple in lieu of the regular menu with NO HEADS UP. Not cool. Especially for couples who are budgeting events ahead of time. When I called to confirm, it would have taken an additional 5 seconds to mention the Valentine's Menu change. I'm hoping The Wild Hare will make this right. I heard about them by word of mouth/introduction...and I had hoped to continue to give a great review about them as well. Instead, they looked pretty shady taking advantage of returning and new customers on a holiday. So much for supporting cool, local, places in Nashville.
