I really hate to give such a bad rating, but I would want to know about this if I were a potential customer. The one star is for the fantastic saleswoman who bent over backwards to help me design a custom ruby necklace and for the quick repair they did of another chain I already owned. In regard to the necklace, I'd give zero stars. The ruby I bought was tiny but in good condition; I examined it before it was placed in the pendant. When I got it back, though, the setting was closed crookedly around the ruby. I thought it was an oversight, so I took it back to be fixed, and in two days I was called back in to pick it up. Yet it still looked odd, even though it was no longer crooked. I couldn't tell what the problem could be, even with my magnifying glass, but several family members thought it looked strange, too. I felt uncomfortable taking it back again, so I took it to another jeweler and asked for help. Even though I didn't name the DM store, the other jeweler guessed immediately which one it was and told me he got a lot of unhappy customers from there. Not more than 20 minutes after I dropped it off to be reset by the new jeweler, he called to tell me that the reason the necklace looked strange was that the ruby was chipped. Presumably it happened as it was being mounted at DM. The setting looked odd because it was covering the damage. I wouldn't trust this store again for anything.

If I could leave zero stars it would be better. These are the rudest bunch of people I have ever done business with! I had a 3 Ct diamond ring sized that took a month to get sized. Every time I called to see if it was ready the old man said its not done yet , why would you assume its ready? Did someone call you and tell you its done! When its done we will let you know! Then today my husband took a couple bracelets in the see if they were real and get them appraised.And the old woman with purple eyebrows was super rude and told him Well this ones silver , this ones gold , slid them over to him rudely and said the gold ones worth about $400. People listen..if you want rude and poor customer service..this is the place to go. I dont appreciate being treated this way by anyone much less by a place your trying to give your hard earned money to. I will never do business with this particular jewelry store again! Dont waste your time. From all the reviews Ive just seen on here this is just the way these people are, its a shame..

Worst Jeweler I have been to EVER! I walked in today with a very old gold coin. It had been years since I was last in there and was curious also if they had any decent coins for sale. Wasn't looking to sell the coin I brought in just wanted them to test it for authenticity as I have had them do work on my rings years ago. After I entered the store, the owner stood up from his chair in the back left of the office, and just stared at me. Almost immediately, he made me feel very uncomfortable and not welcome there at all. No smile, no welcome, just a blank suspicious looking stare. I showed him the old gold coin I had brought in. "Where'd you get this??" he asked. Told him I bought it off eBay. "How much did you pay for it??" he asked. Told him that I couldn't remember and that I would have to look it up. He asked me the same question again. I repeated what I had just told him. He immediately laid my coin down on the counter and said he doesn't know anything about it and started walking away. I told him I just wanted them to test the gold. He told me he doesn't own a gold tester. A jewelry store that cannot test for gold hmmmm. Red Flag!! I never once told him I wanted to sell the coin or anything of that nature. He had no idea I am a Seller on eBay with a decent following and Many Happy customers. I guess everyone looks like a bad person to him. After checking out his very small coin selection I asked if he purchased coins as I have lots of them. He stated some Pre-1964. I said ok 90% percent silver coins ok. "Do you buy the newer Kennedy Halves which are 99.9%?" I asked. He said NO. Moral of the story...If you ever want to be treated like a thief or just poorly for no reason at all, this is the place for you. I will never give them another second of my time or any of my money ever again! Terrible customer service!
