The Smoke House Lodge & Cabins

Stayed in a room. It’s smelled musty. Mattress appears to be somewhat broken. No Mountain View’s. Overpriced. BBQ rest that is connected/on site Is only open on the weekends, so we drove to find dinner. Updates are needed. Would not stay here again. Could hear some traffic noise inside the room. Possibly mold all over the bathroom ceiling.

Best place we have ever stayed at. Clean, beautiful surroundings, and close to all the great Tennessee parks. Very dog friendly.

More 2 star but if discounted a good deal. Non chain a big plus to me. Lots of space on grounds for jog or walk. In the mountains so very nice, rural feel. Walls a bit thin but neighbors were a family so not obnoxious noise just kids. I did get itchy scrot, not sure if this or next hotel, so I'd advise using own towels or washing shower surfaces soap placed on. Basically the 2 star was made up for by decent floor surface, it not wreaking of cleaners like chains, and friendlier service. I had stayed in Murfreesboro previously at a discount during early COVID and even the nicer places were degenerate and shady
