Hertz Car Rental - Memphis - Covington HLE

I would challenge you to find a worse rental car company to deal with- not specifically this location, but Hertz overall. Save yourself the trouble and go with another company.... or walking is probably a better option than dealing with Hertz. If you really must deal with them, set aside your afternoon to learn their phone menu because you're going to try lots of different options to actually get someone on the phone. Sometimes you can use option 5 (which doesn't actually exist in the recording) to speak to a human at a local office number. The actual option on the recording, to speak with a local agent, will simply disconnect the call. My experience on day two of calling was someone answering the phone with a deep sigh because someone actually got through all the recordings. Mind you, this was a non-local person since all options to speak with someone locally just disconnected me, even the secret option 5. Anyway, after they got over the shock of having to answer the phone, we spent a few minutes looking up with insurance reservation. Since there are literally no vehicles to rent, I have to call every day to check. This time, they were unwilling to even answer whether or not any were available because I am not on the claim, but rather calling for my mother. I explained that I would not be trying to pick up the vehicle or asking for any sensitive info, not that they have any, but just trying to verify if they had any. They would not give out that info and promptly ended the call.

I can't even give this company a one star rating! In April of this year I made a reservation AND PAID IN FULL for a Chrysler Pacifica to be picked up at 11am 6/3/2021 and returned 6/9/2021 at the Covington Pike location. I received my receipt, I received reminder emails, BUT when I showed up to the location on time the day of there was just an empty building with a vague sign on the door. I immediately called corporate office and couldn't get anyone. I then called every other Hertz location in Mephis. I finally got someone at corporate and explained myvsituation. I was leaving in a few hours for vacation and I did not have a rental. I demanded a refund so I could hopefully find something else on such short notice. The representative said I could cancel my reservation and I would be refunded the full amount. While on vacation my credit card was stolen and now I'm trying to get in touch with Hertz again to see if they can refund straight to my bank account or issue a check. These are the hardest people to get in touch with. Bee be informed before you use this company

This place is beyond horrible needs to be shut down. They are completely disrespectful and uncaring. The lady at the desk seems like she doesn't want any business to be done.

Worst location ever. This location is a horrible representation of the Hertz franchise. I have been waiting for over an hour for a rental pickup and no one is inside the store. Employees were called and they stated they'd return but haven't shown. **UPDATE** The employee was sleep with the store locked down!

They are very slow and act as though they dont know what they are doing.attempted to over charge me fir the rental and when i discovered it they tried fo make an excuse saying they don't use the card i was using. Not trustworthy!
