Admiral Title

While the attorney for Admiral was responsive, the staff repeatedly gave me incorrect info. When I brought in a survey, I had done for purpose of the title insurance policy, I was told by a staff member that I needed to go file it with the courthouse which turned out not to be correct. I was given a set of closing costs numbers by my realtor from Admiral a few days before closing and based on that document, ordered the checks for closing. The morning of the 1:00 pm closing I received an email from Admiral with a final closing statement which was different than what I was previously given. As I fretted on how to get new checks 4 hours before closing for less than the original amount quoted, I later received another email telling me to ignore the closing numbers I received that morning and sending a document identical to the one I had received days earlier. At the closing, I told the closer 3 times I wanted to pick up the title policy and warranty deed and for Admiral not mail it to the new house as we didn't live there yet. I was told that the policy would be ready in a week. After 2 weeks and about 4 days, I called and was told that they didn't have it back from the court. Then I was told it would be 6 weeks. After calling the attorney twice, I learned the documents had been completed and had been mailed to the new house. Bidding on 6 houses in a competitive market over 6 months was not nearly as stressful as dealing with Admiral. Also, if you are a cash buyer, be sure you ask about the Enhanced Policy which was not originally quoted to me. It costs more but covers more.

Overall unprofessional and very rude team. Lindsay cost me a very big cash offer on a home. I was hung up on more than once when calling the office.
