Hired them (Johnathan & Tyler) to get Music Cast (App for Yamaha Receiver) to work on Zone 2. They helped by informing me each zone had different volume settings. So essentially, when I was going to zone 2, that volume was so low and I didn't think it was working. A 'duh' moment. $125.
They suggested I use everything on 1 remote (Xfinity remote) to power up TV, Yamaha Receiver (surround sound), and Amplifier which sounded great. I asked them to also organize the wires behind equipment and setup to be efficient it it weren't (wire management) and to get 1 remote setup.
They couldn't get remote to do as specified and I had to pay 3 hours labor @ $85, plus banana plugs $50.
Essentially, they cleaned up wires, educated me on Music Cast for $430 + tax. Except now, I inherited a problem they can't fix...
When I turn TV on, it can't find input (blank screen). They can't figure it out and want to charge me more for labor, stating it must be my faulty equipment. Worked fine without their modifications 2 days prior, but now doesn't.
The work around I must do every time I wish to watch TV without surround sound (have ceiling speakers so it's not really the best surround sound, plus we have kids and can't use it at night):
1. Turn on TV (TV doesn't see Input)
2. Turn on Yamaha receiver (TV finds input, then get surround sound)
3. Turn off Yamaha receiver (to turn off surround sound, yet TV keeps input).
I think not for these guys.
