My first (and sadly last) visit to this cute little hole-in-the-wall cupcake shop was to buy an assortment for a special birthday. For a $4 cupcake, one would expect something bigger than a baby's fist with a swipe of frosting. The taste and variety are merely okay...nothing extraordinary (again, for the price, one expects more). Gigi's and The Cup at least price their cupcakes for $3 or less, AND you get a mountain of buttercream on a cake twice the size of Cities. Too bad, Cities...get the pricing in line with the competition, or at least offer a bigger serving for the price.

I shopped here a while back just to see how they compared with other cupcake boutiques. I bought two cupcakes, one was a strawberry something and the other was an apple something (I don't remember their exact names). As has been mentioned, the cupcakes are TINY for what you're paying for. The apple cupcake was absolutely disgusting. The center of the cupcake was almost completely uncooked, it was doughey and overly moist. The frosting was okay. The strawberry cupcake was dry and tasted like the boxed strawberry cake mix. The frosting tasted like children's cough syrup; it was SO (for lack of a better way to describe it), dusty and had an awful aftertaste. The sugar (or whatever it was) that was on top of it made it taste like a stale Peep marshmallow. The girl at the register was at least very friendly and polite, and smiled just about the whole time we were in there.
