Kohana Japanese Restaurant

TERRIBLE, food was ok. But service & prep of food was HORRIBLE, took awhile to get drinks, only to be advised they were out of a wine. Food took forever to be delivered to table, only to find out they were out of some of that as well. GEEEZZ, advised waiter that the way I ask for my crab meat on my sushi it was not done, and not much crab meat at all in the sushi. While 3 of us were almost finished with our meal, my daughter in-law was just getting hers. UGHHH Rice did not come out with my granddaughters meal as we ask. The place was not busy AT ALL, only 2 other tables in the whole place. WILL NOT GO BACK!!!!! The Waiter seemed dazed & confused.

We ordered take-out from Kohana and were sorely disappointed with what we got when we got home. I ordered an entree of Teriyaki Chicken, thinking it was like every other japanese restaurant's teriyaki chicken (you know, chicken, rice, veggies, in a teriyaki sauce). Boy were we WRONG. I got home to two plain pieces of chicken, white rice (I ordered fried rice) and that was it. The chicken was rubbery and bland. Won't be ordering from here ever again.

This is our "Go to" sushi place! It's quiet, relaxing and they are always so pleasant! The sushi is WONDERFUL! Great atmosphere! We love it here!

I am a big sushi fan. I generally cannot tolerate killing taste of sushi by putting lots of sauce. I read very good review online and so I went. Not good. low quality sushi and sashimi. If you think you can tell the taste of sushi. Don't go.
