    This is the first time I've ever had to call a heating and air tech to come give me an estimate on how much it would cost for them to fix my heat pump. I was very clear and that when I called and they didn't mention anything about charging me for an estimate. However when the owner got to my house and after telling him that I don't want him to do anything that he considers to be work and then just surprise me a bill, that he needs to discussing it with me first. He seemed to get upset and make rude comments. I tried being nice because I know how it is, I've worked in customer service filed and had to deal with homeowners before. I didn't think he was being professional about how he handled things. FYI you shouldn't show your frustrations or disappointment to the homeowners because you might just get a referral from them or on the other hand you could get a bad review like this one. For the people who read this, I wouldn't recommend Guy's heating and air to anyone. Although his wife came out with him and she was nice about everything. The owner couldn't get the thought of not getting paid out of his head. When I talk to them on the phone they should have made it clear that they don't give free estimates for fixing one. That part I don't understand, all the other professions out there don't charge to give you an estimate. Although some might try to if you don't word it right. A mechanic never charged me to tell me what what it's going to cost to fix my car. A roofer never charged me for up in the attic to diagnose where the rain was getting in at. Only 1 out of 3 plumbers charged my Mother to find out why her sink was stopped up but that's only because she didn't know to tell them she just wants an estimate. The only thing good is that I found out it doesn't need freon. Thus is why I didn't give a one-star rating.
