Let me first say that I definitely have mixed feelings here because everyone was extremely nice. These fine folks even fought with our home warranty provider to ensure it got done correctly. That being said, nice doesn't always equate to competence. If my system was working correctly and had they followed through on what they said they would do, this would be a five star review. One of our units is a split unit, the attic unit needed to be replaced. The attic unit was replaced, but apparently the new coolant is not compatible with the old coolant, so the TFV had to be swapped to the old style in order to ensure the coolant would work. The TFV that came with the unit needed to stay with the unit in case it was ever serviced in the future and/or the outside unit got replaced so that the system would operate correctly. The short version is, installers took new TFV, tech said he works in our city, he would drop it off the following week, that didn't happen, I called the company a couple weeks later, they said they would check the installers truck, and call me back. Well, that never happened, and I still don't have the TFV that everyone had promised to bring back. Even more important than that, it's 24 degrees out, my split unit is frozen (as you can see by the images), and part of our home is like an icebox since it's only blowing ice cold air. Which, coincidentally, is great for the summer, but not so great now. In summary, great people, always friendly, fixed the A.C. issue, created another problem (no heat), and never followed through on what they ensured me they would do even after I contacted them. Again, there's nice, then there's competent and simply doing what you say without me having to chase you down. I don't think it's too much to ask for friendly customer service and competence.

Very happy with the job. Techs were polite, on time and cleaned up the work area. Overall great experience. I will use them again and highly recommend Ridgetop Heating & Air. Thank you.

The AC unit was not functioning during 90+ degree weather. I called around and the earliest anyone could come out was for at least 3 days. I called Ridgetop on a Sunday during a holiday weekend and the receptionist was extremely polite and said she would coordinate with on-call. I got a phone call back within minutes with news that someone would be out by 2pm with a courtesy call 30 minutes before arrival. I got a call from Wes who said he could be at the house in 20 minutes. He was there by 12:00pm. It turned out to be a simpler fix than thought but he was thorough in the rest of diagnostics to ensure the rest of the unit would be in good working order. I hardly leave reviews but had to this time because I HIGHLY recommend their service. I won’t be calling around again next time.
